HOW DO I ORDER A WEDDING DRESS?

Take a look at our collection of wedding dresses and accessories at our e-Boutique.  Once you find the items you want, just add them to your Shopping Cart and click ORDER.

WHAT IS THE ORDER PROCESS?

Once you have submitted your billing and shipping information, you will be redirected to Paypal where you can fill in the payment information.

Once the payment is received we will confirm with an email. Please note that some dresses and accessories are made-to-order.

CAN I ORDER BY E-MAIL OR PHONE?

No, we only accept orders through the website. The online merchant billing is integrated with our inventory and production systems so ordering through the website prevents any human-error that might occur.

Of course, if you have any specific concerns, you can contact us through e-mail or telephone and we would be pleased to answer any questions you may have.

WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS DO YOU SUPPORT?

Our systems are only setup to accept payment through Paypal.

Paypal supports all of the major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard and American Express.  You do not need an account with Paypal to make a payment.

WHAT CURRENCIES DO YOU SUPPORT?

All of our products are posted in US dollars ($ USD).  As such, we only accept $ USD for payment.

If you use a different currency than $ USD, Paypal will convert the money using the current Foreign Exchange Rate.

HOW FAST CAN I GET MY WEDDING DRESS?

The speed that you get your wedding dress will depend on the lead-time and shipping option you select.  For our in-stock items, we can ship within the week.

HOW WILL YOU SHIP MY WEDDING DRESS?

We ship internationally via Fedex or DHL. The shipping fee depends on your country and is programmed into our Shopping Cart.

If you do not see your country listed, please e-mail us so we can get you shipping information.

All deliveries require a signature on receipt. If you are not present, your parcel will be taken to your local sorting office and a card will be left informing you of where to go to obtain it.

We do not ship to PO Box addresses.

HOW LONG DOES SHIPPING TAKE?

We offer Standard and Express delivery options worldwide. All our delivery options are insured and a signature is required for delivery. Once your item has shipped, you will receive an email from us with tracking information.

HOW LONG DOES SHIPPING TAKE?

Standard Shipping  - $120.00 USD
Your order will be dispatched via Fedex or DHL  and delivered within 3 to 5 business days.

DO YOU SHIP TO MY COUNTRY?

Yes, we can ship your dress anywhere in the World.

Just select your country when checking out and you can calculate your shipping rates.

If you do not see your country listed, please e-mail us so we can get you up-to-date shipping prices.

DO I HAVE TO PAY ANY SALES TAX?

No, we will not charge any sales taxes for your shipments.

However, your country may charge custom duties when your dress is shipped to you.  (See below)

DO I HAVE TO PAY ANY CUSTOMS DUTIES?

Your merchandise may be subject to taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country.  The recipient of the shipment is considered the destination country importer and is responsible for all custom duties or taxes assessed by customs and must be paid upon delivery. Costs (Import Fees) assessed in customs are based on import, brokerage, duties and taxes.  Due to the variance among countries, we are not able to provide an estimate of import fees.  Please refer to your local customs office for more information.

HOW LONG DOES SHIPPING TAKE?

Standard Shipping  - $55.00 USD
Your order will be dispatched via Fedex or DHL and delivered within 4 to 5 business days.

Express Shipping  - $95.00 USD
Your order will be dispatched via Fedex or DHL  and delivered within 2 to 3 business days.

DO I HAVE TO PAY ANY SALES TAX?

No, we will not charge any sales taxes for your shipments.

However, customs may charge an import duty when your dress is shipped to you.  (See below)

HOW LONG DOES SHIPPING TAKE?

Local Shipping  - $15.00 USD
We are happy to provide shipping to the Greater Toronto Area, defined as cities in the Toronto, Peel, York, Halton or Durham regions and delivered within 3 to 4 business days.

Standard Shipping  - $35.00 USD
Your order will be dispatched via Fedex or Canada Post and delivered within 3 to 4 business days.

Express Shipping  - $75.00 USD
Your order will be dispatched via Fedex or Canada Post  and delivered within 1 to 2 business days.

HOW MUCH SALES TAX IS CHARGED?

Harmonized Provinces (13% H.S.T.)

You will be charged 13% H.S.T. if you order from these provinces:

  • British Columbia
  • Ontario
  • New Brunswick
  • Newfoundland
  • Nova Scotia

Other Provinces (5% G.S.T.)

If you are ordering from any other province you will be charged 5% GST only.

When orders shipped internationally reach the destination country, they may be subject to customs clearance procedures which may cause delays beyond original delivery estimates.

SIZING AND FIT ADVICE

HOW DO I CHOOSE MY SIZE?

Simply choose your pre-pregnancy dress size.  For example, if your dress size was a size 6 at the start of your pregnancy, we recommend you select a Tina Mak size 6.  We design our dresses in line with your pre-pregnancy clothing size for your convenience.  We add the extra where necessary, giving you one less thing to think about. 

If you fall between sizes, we recommend you select the larger size.  It is always easier to take in a dress than to let out.

LEAD TIMES AND RUSH ORDERS

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE A DRESS?

Some of our dresses are made to order and take approximately 4 weeks to produce.   We recommend you order as early as possible to accommodate for alterations if necessary.  A 3 week or less rush option is available.

We also have in-stock dresses that ship much quicker.

Before ordering, please calculate your Estimated Arrival Date to ensure your gown will arrive prior to your wedding with at least two weeks allowed for alterations.

For made-to-order:

Estimated Arrival Date = Order date + # of  weeks to produce dress + # of days to ship dress

CAN YOU RUSH MY WEDDING DRESS?

We understand that sometimes you may need your wedding dress faster than our regular production schedule. Our made-to-order dresses are available for rush order.  If you require your gown 3 weeks or sooner, you will have to select the "Rush Order" option in the shopping cart.

All rush orders must be requested at time of order and be approved by Tina Mak Weddings.

MORE DRESS OPTIONS

CAN I ORDER SWATCHES?

Yes, we can mail you some swatches for $5.00 each.  Although usually if you ask nicely, Tina sends up to 3 complimentary swatches free of charge.

CAN I ORDER EXTRA HEM LENGTH?

On made-to-order styles, you can select an extra 5" of length when you order your dress.

We recommend ordering extra hem length if your height while wearing shoes is 5'10" or taller.

This applies to both short and long dresses.

MADE IN CANADA

WHERE IS THE DRESS MADE?

All of our dresses are designed and crafted in Canada by a team of expert seamstresses.

DO YOU PROVIDE ALTERATIONS?

No, we do not offer any alteration services.

So in order to get a perfect fit, you may need some alterations. All dresses can be adjusted after you receive them. We are not responsible for any alterations made after you receive the dress.

WHERE CAN I BUY A TINA MAK DRESS?

IT'S NICE TO BE ADMIRED BUT...

Our dresses are made in Canada and we only sell direct through our website.

Certainly, you may be able to buy our gently-used dresses or sample-dresses on Ebay, Craiglist or other pre-owned clothing websites.

However, we have not authorized any other online retailers to sell our dresses.

There are a few offshore sellers who are illegally using our images and trademarks to sell knock-offs of our products.  None of these retailers is authorized to do this.
